About Me
I’m not a housewife, I’m a domestic scientist!
And a huge dork.
If you couldn’t tell already.
So yeah, I’m a mommy blogger. I know those words have become basically an insult on the internet, but don’t you worry, I try tone down my fascination with dirty diapers and daily chores to a minimum around here. I mean if I don’t want to wash the dishes, I’m pretty sure people don’t want to read about how much I don’t want to do dishes.
Every decade has some aspect of pop culture attached to it. The 70’s had disco, the 80’s had crazy hair and cocaine, the 90’s had the “grunge movement,” etc. But underlying all of that, is video games. Gaming has become a large part of our generation’s development and it spans decades. I have friends from 16 to 50 that I talk about games with. If it’s not old school video games, it’s Dungeons and Dragons, the latest FPS or obscure board games. I think gaming has become more than a generational thing and has become just a part of our civilization.
That’s is basically the spine of this blog. I love to experiment with arts and crafts and games are a great muse. I can play homage to all the different games that I grew up with (and some I didn’t) and entertain the masses at the same time.
I’m also interested in any suggestions anyone may have for the site. It’s a constant work in progress as I’m always trying to improve. If you have any ideas or wish to contact me, leave a comment or e-mail me at renee at thedomesticscientist dot com!
