Going in a new direction

After some serious and difficult soul searching, I have come to the conclusion that my life is headed in the wrong direction. My eyes have been opened. I going to be making many major changes, starting with this blog.

There have been many things recently that are piling up, telling me just how evil gaming is. Can all these instances be coincidence? I think not. There is a divine power at work here. Take for instance, I stumbled upon this article about Magic the Gathering. I never really thought about all the connections with dangerous religions that game had. I also found this jewel of wisdom just the other day. I KNEW my Dungeon Master was evil! He’s already seduced me and made me bear his fruit! I feel so used. And then there are video games. Oh, all those video games! I’ve spent hours upon hours playing video games, withdrawn from reality, shirking my responsibilities as a mother and a wife. You have all heard about all the horrible things that happen to young people that play video games. I’m so afraid that one day, there will be something that will just snap in my brain while playing a video game and I go on an killing rampage, killing everyone I know! That’s such a scary thought.

I understand if people will no longer be interested in reading this blog as most of you heathens are neck deep in the gaming culture, just as I was. Please, come over to the right side of the fence! We can do some macrame together, or glue stuff to other stuff! I’ve really been meaning to get into homemade potpourri, as well. I’ll be back tomorrow with a totally game free craft! Have a nice day!

Oh Renee… I *heart* you. :) BTW, while you are making your life changes, you should really think about eliminating zippers from your wardrobe. It’s the devil’s technology, you know!

OMG, I read that article about MTG, and got to the part where he quoted Deuteronomy, and it says right there: WATCHES AND CLOCKS ARE EVIL. Right after the part about the divination, it says “observer of times…[are] an abomination…blahblahblah”. I must go smash all my clocks with a hammer!
And also, wow, Christian comics are as lame as Christian “rock”.

I’m with you! You know what else is evil? Music! And books, don’t forget books!

“There is such a demand for the cards that they are bought, sold, traded and even auctioned over the InterNet.”

“InterNet” was in italics. Good times.

OH NOOOO I have been flirting with the devil for many, many years! I must repent!

I thought you were serious for exactly 1.5 sentences.

Well I am glad you have finally seen the light. I had already notified Children’s Services, and they were planning on storming your home (which would have been referred to in the papers as a compound) with snipers and helicopters in supporting roles. So now we can cancel the raid and live happily ever after warming our feet with all the burning gaming paraphanelia.

*sigh* I wish I could laugh, but I know way too many Christians who actually BELIEVE this. Makes the rest of us look loopy. =\

Still, pretty good prank. Too bad I didn’t believe it for a nanosecond.

This is the first one I’ve seen today that had me going for a second. I applaud you. That was great.
