Thanks to everyone that helped me with my knitting questions! They really helped! I was practicing with another pattern I made, but I was so pleased with it that I decided to keep going. Check it out!
I was experimenting to see if I could make a toboggan (or beanie, depending on where you’re from) with this design, but the Forest symbol is way too big. When I put it on my head, it looked more like broccoli than mana…. Although I do love broccoli, I don’t wanna wear a hat with it on it.
I know, I know, yet another Magic the Gathering craft. I can’t help it! I’m totally addicted. Although despite my extreme love of the game, I still suck at it. Like I loose 90% of the time. *sigh*

Awesome, you are pretty much the greatest thing ever. Green is my favorite color of mana, to bad it doesn’t come in manly. And, I don’t think you suck at magic, when we play you are usually one of the biggest threats while am usually a minor inconvenience at best. So yeah, take that and stuff. How now?

Wow! I love it! I don’t play Magic but I am a TOTAL purse whore! Yay for you!

@Auston: HEY GUY!!!! Thanks for coming by!!!! Thanks for not thinking I suck, but you guys always go to easy on me. I’ve played two tournaments recently and lost every round except one. And in the one I won I beat a 13 year old kid. Go me! And you’re right, green is the best! (I’m trying to make a red, green, white Naya deck at the moment. So far all test games have gone horribly. Back to the elves for me!) I’m trying to come up with more manly things for MTG stuff, actually. This thing was just practice.
@Keri: You’re so easy

That’s sweet. Now you need Water Mana gloves and a Black Mana Scarf. Very nicely done. Great colors. And if people don’t know what it means, they’ll just think you’re a tree hugger.
And I hate broccoli. Yuck.

Are you on ravelry?
Seriously cute…
as for how to make it smaller, I would simplfy your image, and make the trunk a little thinner. Since when you put the hat on, it is going to stretch anyways.
Also, I would try a fingering weight or at most a DK weight yarn.
I can’t wait to see what you do with it!
I also totally loved your guitar hero scarf!

@ Kristina: I’ve signed up for an invitation just recently. I got a message saying there were 9001 people in front of me, and I will probably get an invitation in 7 days. Is that good or bad?

I signed up like a year and a half ago and I had to wait three months for my invite.. so yeah, seven days is not bad at all!!
I am pisceanknits when you do get online.
My husband showed me your blog because you are a follower of his on Twitter… he is infant_no_1.
I play Magic too and was going to make felted dice bags for him with each of the mana symbols… or a lotus or something. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet though
