Sorry, foodies. No cookie recipe this week. I am going to be over at my Mother in law’s house, picking her brain about sewing patterns. I am making out Halloween costumes this year. I don’t know WHAT I was thinking when I agreed to do that since the only thing I’ve sewn is a DS case. I think 2 full costumes are going to be quite a challenge. But you know how I like to jump into these projects head first. Wish me luck!
In other news, I completed my first request from Etsy. You may remember that I mentioned working on something for Hawty McBloggy. The story behind the piece is she saw my Controller cross stitch, and made the joke that if anyone would make a pattern for her with the Master Chief from Halo on it, implementing her love of MC’s codpiece, she would start cross-stitching again. Well, one of her friends called her bluff and made a pattern. So instead of making it herself (and I can’t blame her! Mom of three boys with a very popular gaming blog, who would have the time?) she asked me to do it. And I happily agreed. Now for those of you who may be a little sensitive, or have an aversion to sexual innuendos, may I suggest you NOT click on the link below?
I think the Mega-man-esque design is super cute and kinda makes people do a double take when the read what it next to him.
