Mini Vacation

FYI, I’ll be out of town on Monday and Tuesday. But I’ll be back on Wednesday with a geeky craft. Have a good weekend!!

All Hail Martha!

Martha Stewart is having a “contest” of sorts. If you go post a comment with your blog name over on this article about creating blogs, there is a chance that they will feature your blog on their site. I know it’s pretty much a snowball’s chance in hell for a little blogger like [...]

Linkage

I wanted to share some linkage with you guys. All of these blogs have featured some of my work and I really appreciate it! And all of these sites are pretty neat in their own right, so if you wanna go visit any of them, please do!

Old Fashioned Mario & Peach

Morning Toast had a fabulous idea back in the comments of this post. I was planning on doing a cross stitch of these, but I lost a lot of detail when I translated the design over to little squares.

It was really interesting trying to design these. Did you know that pretty much all [...]

He’s such a blockhead

This whole box on the head thing is getting, how shall we say, chronic. Here’s another video. This one is a little creepy for some reason. He can’t see through this box, but he’s still playing with his blocks. Maybe he is practicing for a role in the next Silent Hill [...]

And if you’re wondering (I’m looking at you, Morning Toast), I will be opening up [...]

Chocolate Peppermint Sandwich Cremes

Happy Cookie Friday!
Chocolate Peppermint Num Nums

These guys are kind of a combination of chewy chocolate cookies and peppermint patties. And that creme stuff is just fun to play with! It’s like marshmallowy playdoh.
Ingredients:
2 sticks of melted butter
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 unsweetened cocoa
1 [...]

Joust Guitar Strap

I’ve made another guitar strap! This one features characters from Joust.

This one is for one of Alex’s jamming buddies, who also happens to be his boss. Now listen to this: Alex works for this guy who likes to come into his office and play guitar with him. Alex keeps his second guitar [...]

New DS Case Design

Alrighty, so I’m getting closer to perfecting the design for DS cases. Tell me what you think:

This is the closest I’ve gotten so far to the perfect dimensions. I’ll need to add a row on the bottom and sides to it’s not straining at the corners. I’m also finding that different brands [...]

A Cautionary Tale

If you’re having difficulty figuring out what that smudge is, tilt your head slightly to the right and think of a certain teddy bear shaped cookie.
Note to self (and any future parents): Try to keep toddlers contained during snack time. Otherwise you’ll be cleaning crumbs and smudges off the couch, walls, floor, the [...]
