I finally finished the guitar strap!
This was definitely the most fun cross stitch I have ever done. Alex said he wanted “retro-fabulous” colors, and these are the ones he chose. I was a little skeptical at first, but it turned out great! And of course he loves it.

Now I have a challenge. After seeing my DS case mod, and now the guitar strap, Alex has given me permission to “mod” his guitar to match the strap. Duuuuude. I’m excited and freaked out at the same time. I’ll have to put a lot of thought into that one before diving in.

Great! Nice to see the strap evolve…very pro. Cross-stitching is totally a lost art.
And yeah, people would totally pay for that. And good call with the Mega Man…that would rock. Pac-Man chasing ghosts and dots would be neat too, and not too complex either (I assume…whatdoiknow…my mother sews, not me)

I actually googled cross stitch guitar strap because I am looking to make one for my boyfriend for his birthday. Yours is the only picture that came up which is totally fine by be because it’s AMAZING! I was wondering if you could perhaps e-mail me any tips you may have as to which guitar strap to buy or how to go about doing the cross stitching. I would be sure to let you know how it turns out. =)

That is too darn cool. I, like Kati, am looking to do a cross-stitched guitar strap for my boyfriend. Could you possibly post some tips for us on our endeavors? He’s a huge Mario buff though, so I’m thinking of doing something along those lines.
