Birthday Chocobo!

Sooo I left my thimble at home so I couldn’t finish the Space Invaders guitar strap like I promised on Friday.

However!

I did finally finish the project I’d been working on for over two weeks. I mentioned my bud Will’s birthday a while back, and I was hoping to have this finished in time, but it was one of those new projects that I decided to tackle without knowing what the hell I was doing, so it took a while longer than expected. So here ya go, Will! Happy Birthday!

Don’t look too closely at the stitches on the pillow. You can see practically every single one…. If you want to just see the Chocobo without all the junk attached to it, go here. This was definitely a learning experience, and I am more than glad that it is over. I have a dozen more ideas for goofy pillows, but I won’t be tackling any of them until I get a sewing machine. My fingers are raw and I think I went cross eyed towards the end, there.

So, Will, have a pillow for your naked futon! If it comes completely unraveled (which is quite possible given the job I did on it) just tack it up on the wall, and TA DA! It’s a wall hanging! Sort of…. Love ya!

Wo! Greatest geek b-day present I’ve ever recived. Thank you so very much girl! Your mad adept cross-stitch hands rule the day. Thanks for the color choice, I know I say it a lot, but I’m such a sucker for black/red combo.

That is absolutely amazing. I really do need to learn to cross stitch so I can start doing sprite stiching, lol.

Seriously, that is an amazing birthday present. Your loved ones are some lucky folks!

It doesn’t matter if you can see every stitch or if it will fall apart. The important part is that it’s comfortable when in use.
