What the Professor has taught me this week:
When a bar of soap gets down to that annoying sliver stage, take it out of the shower. Because if you leave it on that ledge, the baby will grab it, put it in his mouth, and SWALLOW it, before you can say “Oh, sh–!”
In other news, I made two cakes this week!
The first is a caramel cake made from a secret family recipe, so I can’t post it >:) I will tell you that real caramel icing, is freaking HARD to do, but oh so delicious. I even did it incorrectly, and it was still divine. Here’s a picture, though.

The second cake was for Will’s birthday (Happy Birthday, you dweeb!). I love this recipe because it’s so easy, but so impressive. I’ve now had 4 people tell me it’s the best cake they have ever eaten. And I don’t think they were just saying that to flatter me. Even if they were, I’ll take the compliment and run with it
Here’s a picture and the recipe for ya.

Ingredients:
* 1 box of Moist Chocolate Cake mix
* 1 box of Fudgey Brownie Mix
* 2 cannisters of Chocolate Frosting
* 1 tub of Philadelphia Ready to Eat Cheesecake
Directions
1. Prepare the cake as directed on the box in 2 9 in round pans. Let cool.
2. Prepare the brownies as directed on the box, and split the batter into 2 9 inch round pans (take about 8 minutes off the cooking time stated on the box). Let cool.
3. Once all the layers have completely cooled, stack them, starting with a brownie layer. The layers from the bottom up should be brownie, cheesecake, cake, cheesecake, brownie, cheesecake, cake.
4. Frost cake and enjoy! Keep in the refrigerator to store. (This cake is also really good cold.)
So that’s it for now. See ya on Monday!

I love the storms in the background of the caramel cake. It’s so dramatic!

[...] did finally finish the project I’d been working on for over two weeks. I mentioned my bud Will’s birthday a while back, and I was hoping to have this finished in time, but it was one of those new projects [...]
